University of Mississippi is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy
Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
The newly formed Division of Pharmacy
Professional Development (DPPD) is located at the University of Mississippi
Medical Center campus and is under the direction of Dr. Randy Pittman . The
DPPD is responsible for educational opportunities, live and written at the local
and national level such as: CE, certificate programs, distance learning programs,
and the Non-traditional Pharm.D. program. Medication Therapy Management Services
include clinical skills development, on-site consultation on implementation,
outcome assessment, reimbursement, protocol development, and marketing services.
It also is responsible for job fairs, residency showcases, relationships with
professional organizations on the local and national level, and drug information
dissemination coordination. Look for more information and events as they become
available.
