
People make appointments at our Center for a wide variety of reasons.
If you are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief or loss, relationship or interpersonal difficulties, substance abuse problems, or any other kind of significant life problems, we offer services that can help you. Our clinicians work with children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults. We provide a variety of treatments that are based on current scientific evidence and provided in a variety of formats--including individual, couples, and family therapy as well as support groups. In addition to therapy services, we also provide a variety of state-of-the-art psychological assessments for evaluating learning disabilities, ADHD and attention problems, intellectual (IQ) ability, emotional problems, suitability for bariatric/gastric bypass surgery, chronic headache problems, to name a few

It is our Primary goal to provide comprehensive and quality services to our clients, regardless of ability to pay. Our dedicated staff is here to help members of the community, including Oxford, Lafayette County, and surrounding areas.
If you are in a position where you either do not have insurance, or want to remain confidential and not have to send personal information to your insurance company, the PSC offers a very affordable sliding scale based on your income and life situation.
The Faculty and Clinicians are highly trained and focus on the latest scientifically supported approaches to treatment, and continually track progress and consult with experts on the most effective treatment for your situation.
Our team of local practitioners include: licensed psychologists from the faculty of the University of Mississippi’s Department of Psychology and advanced Graduate Student Clinicians. Graduate clinicians are well-trained and closely supervised, while our other consulting mental health professionals have considerable experience and expertise. We all, moreover, share in the value placed on our services and the opportunities to work with the community.
An important part of our mission is to conduct research that will aid our clinicians and other practitioners across the country is deepening our understanding and effectiveness. The research is conducted and supervised by the Clinical Psychology Faculty. There are a range of topics and areas that the staff pursue, such as the treatment of headaches, anxiety, smoking cessation, cultural awareness, early childhood and school-based intervention.
The faculty of Ole Miss are internationally known for the quality of research conducted through the department, and are regularly published in journals, presented in conferences, and sought out by other practitioners and clinics to inform and improve their own services.
None of the research is done without the knowledge and consent of the people who participate. Privacy is always more important than research, and no observation or measurements are ever conducted without someone's full knowledge and permission.
