As part of the mission of the Psychological Services Center, the center has articulated three main goals:

Direct Service Delivery
The PSC is committed to offering services that assist persons in managing problems such as family and other personal relationships, depression, panic attacks, agoraphobia, anxiety in social settings, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and sexual assault.
Training
Faculty Psychologists serve as supervisors for graduate students who receive their training at the PSC. Supervision consists of the study and application of techniques that have been proven to be effective in treating a wide range of behavioral health problems.
Research
Department faculty and doctoral students conduct and publish research in such areas as eating disorders, anxiety disorders, drugs and alcohol, sexual assault, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, children's social relationships, and psychological tests. That research provides the basis for delivering effective, up-to-date behavioral health services.
