With the aging of the population, many of us find ourselves caring for older relatives or friends and we may be experiencing age-related concerns ourselves. This conference is designed to address a broad spectrum of aging issues through workshop sessions, a resource exchange fair and a nationally broadcast teleconference from the Hospice Foundation of America.
Laura Feldman, from Washington, D.C., a grassroots organizer, educator, and activist with the National Committee To Preserve Social Security & Medicare will present key information about politics on aging, including updates on stimulus package, Social Security, and Medicare. Kathy VanCleave and Dianne Arnold with the MS Department of Mental Health Division of Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias will provide unique, experiential tours. Edna C. Clark, Program Administrator with the Division of Aging and Adult Services with DHS, will provide the latest information on Adult Protective Services in Mississippi.
