SCHOLARSHIP

OPPORTUNITIES

In addition to the financial aid available to all students, the Department of Social Work offers the Luckyday Scholarship. Students who meet the following criteria may apply:

• Must be a Mississippi resident
• Must be a Mississippi community college student who will be transferring into Social Work and classified as a junior
• Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on all work attempted at the community college
• Must submit a 1-2 page essay that demonstrates a financial need, indicates how these funds will be used for bollege expenses, and describes the applican'ts professional goals
• Must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher on all work attempted at The Unviersity of Mississippi and a 3.0 GPA in the professional core
• Must agree to practice the profession in Mississippi for three years after graduation

Award:
Students who are selected to receive the scholarship will receive $3,800 per year for the junior and senior year for a total of $7,600.
