Elder Atwater preaching at Hurricane Creek.  Elder Atwater’s preaching style was composed and confident.  His sermons were sometimes funny and often self-deprecating.  The photograph in the upper left is of his father, Elder Calvin Atwater, who founded the church in 1910 and was its pastor until his death in 1944.
