Mississippi Quarterly will publish its second special issue on Richard Wright, focusing on "International Perspectives on Richard Wright." The editors are Jack B. The American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress has just published a new reference booklet, Folklife Resources in the Library of Congress. The Louisiana Library Association and the East Baton Rouge Parish Library announce a touring exhibition of literary maps, photographs, quotations from authors, and character figures titled "Language of the Land: Journeys into Literary America." The exhibit will be housed in the Main Library, 7711 Goodwood Boulevard in Baton Rouge, from October 1-December 14, 1995. The Historic New Orleans Collection will present an exhibition of photographs of sugar farms, field workers, and mills by five contemporary photographers. Accompanying the photographs will be historical prints, drawings, maps, letters, and three-dimensional objects. The collection, "Raising Cane: Two Hundred Years of Louisiana Sugar Production," will be on display from September 29, 1995 to March 30, 1996 at The Historic New Orleans Collection, 533 Royal Street, New Orleans, Louisiana. Public seminars are planned for mid-October and early January. The museum is open to the public Tuesday-Saturday, except holidays, from 10:00 a.m.-4:45 p.m. Admission is free.
