North Carolina's Ceramic Art Exhibited at Mint Museum

Approximately 300 pottery works will be featured in The Ceramic Art of North Carolina through August 24 at Charlotte's Mint Museum of Art. An accompanying multimedia CD-ROM catalog that includes interviews with potters in their studios is available for schools and libraries. The majority of the exhibition objects were selected from the museum's Dorothy Cole Auman and Daisy Wade Bridges collections of North Carolina pottery. Additional pieces are from many of the most significant private collections held throughout the state.

North Caolina JugObjects will be displayed according to time period and form. Representative items from German and English potters will be included, as well as works influenced by African slaves. For taped highlights, call 704-333-6468; e-mail News2@mint.uncc.edu.
