The third Eatonton Literary Festival & Book Fair celebrating Georgians Alice Walker, Joel Chandler Harris, and Flannery O'Connor will feature family ties and Southern folk life. Set for August 3-5, 2001, the event uses storytelling, historical tours, reminiscences, and literary readings to highlight the heritage of the Southern Piedmont. Over a dozen antiquarian dealers and presses will sell books at the fair. This year family members, descendants, and friends will talk about the noted authors. For details see www.gsu.edu/eatonton.
