Tougaloo Art Colony at Tougaloo College is
sponsoring, for the fifth year, a week-long
Indulgence in the Visual Arts workshop for artists,
art educators, and art students. The workshop will
be held from July 27 until August 3, 2001. For more

The
third Eatonton Literary Festival & Book Fair
celebrating Georgians Alice Walker, Joel Chandler
Harris, and Flannery O'Connor will feature family
ties and Southern folk life. Set for August 3-5,
2001, the event uses storytelling, historical tours,
reminiscences, and literary readings to highlight
the heritage of the Southern Piedmont. Over a dozen
antiquarian dealers and presses will sell books at
the fair. This year family members, descendants, and
friends will talk about the noted authors. For
