The Center for the Study of Southern Culture at the University of Mississippi has gained an international reputation for innovative education and scholarship on the American South. The Center administers B.A. and M.A. programs in Southern Studies, sponsors research and documentary projects on all aspects of Southern culture, and encourages understanding of the South through publications, media productions, lectures, performances, and exhibitions.
