Jesus
backstage. Gadsden, Alabama. Good Friday, 2002. Inside the
Fellowship Hall of Cross Point Baptist Church. Thirty minutes after
posing [under no direction from me] for this photograph, this man and
two others, dressed as thieves, exited the church. Three other church
members, dressed as Roman Centurions, followed these men, prodding and
poking them from behind with plastic swords as they led them to the
three crosses which stand in the front yard of the church facing
Interstate 759.
