The
18th at Golgotha.
Cave
City, Kentucky. Just down the mountain from Mammoth Cave is the Golgotha
Fun Park. While the park offers paintball wars and go-cart racing, the
main attraction is the miniature golf course. Touted as the “#1 Shaded
Biblical Mini Golf” course, the front nine presents a number of Old
Testament obstacles (e.g. Noah’s Ark, Daniel’s den of lion’s, and,
of course, Jonah’s whale).
The back nine is strictly New Testament. On seventeen, Jesus is
crucified, dies, and is buried. By the time you turn around to aim down
eighteen, he’s risen and stands on top of his tomb, which doubles as
the hole. Note the golf ball in the opening to the tomb.
