EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Employee Assistance Program or EAP is a service provided for University administration, faculty, and staff. The purpose of the EAP is to provide information, counseling, or other services to employees who may be experiencing personal or professional difficulties that may disrupt day to day functioning.
Every University employee has the benefit of 8 free, and confidential, counseling sessions. With the permission of the department head, employees may be absent from work for up to one hour per week to utilize this service.
To make an appointment with an EAP counselor, please call the Counseling Center receptionist at (662)915-3784. Or you may contact Vicki Mahan, the EAP Coordinator. Ms Mahan can be contacted one of three ways; leave a message on her voice mail, (662)915-3789, by email vlmahan@olemiss.edu, or by leaving a message with the receptionist.
