Call for Volunteers
August
2012
Dear
Students, Faculty, Staff, and Members of the Community,
We are so excited about our upcoming freshman move-in event, Groovin’ at Move In! This year’s event will take place on Friday, August 17, from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. We need many volunteers
to help welcome our students and make them feel at
home as they settle into their residence hall rooms.
As
always, we will need the majority of our volunteers to help in the unloading
zones at each residence hall. These volunteers will be assisting new students in
unloading vehicles and helping carry belongings to student rooms. We will
also need volunteers to help us in our efforts to make move in as “green” as
possible by breaking down boxes at our recycling tents.
Each
volunteer will receive a Groovin’ at Move In T-shirt (while supplies last) to wear that day and LOTS of appreciation from
our freshmen and their families. If you would like to participate in this
year’s event, you may register by completing this form.
Additionally, if you are a member of a student organization, department on
campus, local business or organization, or local civic or church group, we are looking
for groups of volunteers to help make this the best move in ever. If your
group is interested, you may also register online at the above website, or we
will send an organization volunteer form to the individual who will serve as
the contact person.
