Accommodations
Everything we do prepares our students to be independent and contributing global citizens. Through our actions, we prepare our students by promoting healthy relationships, ethical decision making, and participation as leaders in their respective communities. We prepare our students to meet life’s challenges that lie ahead. By the way, we provide on-campus housing! Want to come live with us?
These are the types of residential facilities you will find on our campus:
- Traditional Halls
- Most freshmen reside in one of our nine traditional residence halls. Students in these halls generally reside in double rooms with one other person. Community bathrooms are conveniently located on all floors. All halls are located within walking distance of classrooms.
- Contemporary Halls
- Our new contemporary halls, Minor Hall (formerly Ridge West), Ridge North, and Ridge South, opened in August 2012. These buildings feature in-room bathrooms, study rooms on each floor, conference rooms, community kitchens, and lounges with TVs on each floor. Each room includes a microwave/fridge. Students participating in living-learning communities and freshman interest groups will reside in the these halls.
- Residential Colleges
- The residential colleges at the University of Mississippi are based on the Oxford model, which includes faculty living in the residence halls with the students. These buildings offer contemporary housing for undergraduates. Students living in the residential colleges are selected through an application process.
- Apartments
- We offer three apartment options for our students with 30 or more credit hours. Single students can live in either Northgate or Campus Walk. Family housing is available in our Village Apartments.
If you require special housing accommodations due to a disability, including the use of a service animal, please contact Student Disability Services.
