Graduate Assistant for Marketing (Position currently filled)
The Graduate Assistant for Marketing is responsible for organizing, managing, and conducting daily housing tours and the housing portion of campus visit events. This position, along with the Assistant Director for Marketing, oversees the undergraduate marketing staff. In addition, the Graduate Assistant for Marketing will assist in the organization, management, and implementation of move-in processes.

Marketing Assistant Position Description
Resident Assistant (All positions currently filled)
The Resident Assistant (RA) is responsible for a floor, wing, or area of a residence hall or apartment community. The RA is there to help with the personal and academic concerns of the student and to help work out any group conflicts that may arise. The RA also serves as a facilitator to encourage a cooperative and considerate group living environment. The RA is expected to build a feeling of togetherness and community by initiating and helping to organize floor, wing, and hall activities and programs. The RA serves as an information resource for the campus and residence hall. Most of all, the RA is expected to be a person who cares about people and who works to make the residence hall or apartment community a valuable place to live.

Resident Assistant Position Description

The University of Mississippi Department of Student Housing employs Desk Receptionists for its residence halls. The Desk Receptionist (DR) provides service at the hall desk for residents,visitors and staff. The DR is supervised by the Residence Hall Director (RHD). Specific responsibilities for each DR will vary from area to area and will be assigned by the RHD.
