Welcome to Ole Miss Student Housing. Our goal is to provide an educational opportunity for students to learn from living in a group environment. Through this experience, they are exposed to issues of compromise, relationship building, diversity, consideration, problem solving and developing life skills. Our emphasis is to build character so that when our students go into the world of work, they can be successful and contribute to society. Students are responsible for conducting themselves in a manner that reflects high ethical standards representative of the Ole Miss creed.
Numerous resources are available to your student as he or she navigates on-campus living. One of the most helpful and resourceful individuals with whom residents interact is the resident assistant (RA). These staff members live on the floors in each of the residence halls along with their supervisor, the residence hall director (RHD). Each student also receives a residence hall handbook, which contains policies and other pertinent information regarding residence hall living. Each family should also receive a brochure in the mail, which contains information that may be helpful to you as a parent during your student’s tenure in on-campus housing. Our Web site will also provide updated information as we proceed through the academic year.
