The University of Mississippi Police Department suggest the following methods of reporting crimes or summoning police assistance:
- From on-campus, dial 9-911 for emergencies and 915-7234 for
non-emergency calls
- There is a network of out door emergency phones around campus.
These phones are mounted in blue call boxes which have a blue light
on top and are clearly marked, "POLICE." Pushing the call button
activates a direct phone line with the University police that
automatically pinpoints the caller's location.
- The University Police Building, located at Kinard Hall Wing C, is
open 24 hours. Everyone is encouraged to report crime or other
suspicious activity directly to officials at the department.
