We wanted to mention to you some major changes this year for Faculty/Staff:

Please make sure to closely review the 2009-2010 version of the color-coded parking guide/campus
map distributed by UPD-Parking Services regarding these major changes and other rules-regulations:

·        The Howry-Falkner Parking Lot is now exclusively faculty/staff-only parking from 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. weekdays.  In previous years, this parking area was shared with the students who lived in Howry and Falkner Halls.  These buildings are no longer residence halls.

·        All the new parking lots developed in proximity to the Residential College are for the exclusive use of the Residential College from 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. weekdays.  These areas are depicted on UPD’s parking guide.

·        There are no new parking areas for faculty/staff in the area of the Law School, Farley Hall, and the Overby Center.

·        The parallel parking places on All American Drive alongside Martindale are now visitor-only parking from 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. weekdays.

The following are not new changes but reminders of important rules that impact Faculty/Staff:

·
Faculty/staff are not permitted to park in a student residential designated area between 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. weekdays.  A “student residential designated area” refers to an area that has been assigned for students who reside in a residence hall/Northgate apartment or sorority/fraternity house.  This is very important – please review these areas on UPD’s parking guide.

·         Only visitors and handicap motorists are permitted to park on University Avenue between Coulter and Ventress Halls from 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. weekdays.

·         There is no vehicular traffic – driving or parking – permitted on The Circle between 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. weekdays.

Your decal should be placed on the lower corner of the driver's side rear
window of your vehicle.

There are exceptions: convertibles, vehicles with rear windows that lower into tailgate, vehicles
with rear windows covered by louvers, pickup trucks with a camper shell, etc. - in these cases,
the decal should be affixed on the upper outside corner of the front windshield on the passenger side.
