map distributed by UPD-Parking Services regarding these major changes
and other rules-regulations:
Howry-Falkner
Parking Lot is now exclusively faculty/staff-only parking from
7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. weekdays. In previous years, faculty/staff
shared this parking area with students
who lived in Howry and Falkner Halls. These buildings are no longer
residence halls.
-The small parking lot near the intersection of Sorority Row and Northgate
Drive that was temporarily
allocated last year for Northgate residents and Sorority Row greek house
residents is now assigned
only for the residents of the new Residential College from 7:30 a.m.
- 5:00 p.m. weekdays.
-There are some other new parking lots that have been developed in proximity
to the Residential
College that are assigned solely for the residents of the Residential
College from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. weekdays.
-An additional parking area is to be available for commuter students
only from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
weekdays east of the Ford Center and Depot parking lots.
-The east-most aisle in the Sorority Parking Lot is now assigned to
the residents of the Residential College
from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. weekdays. In previous years this aisle was
shared by commuters and Northgate/ Sorority Row residents.
-The parallel parking places on All American Drive alongside Martindale
are now visitor-only parking from
7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. weekdays.
The following are
not new changes but reminders of important rules that impact students:
-Both sides of Magnolia Drive will continue to be for faculty/staff-only
parking from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. weekdays.
-The single aisle in the Stadium Parking Lot immediately west of the
Vaught-Hemingway Stadium will continue to be for faculty/staff-only
parking from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. weekdays. This involves parking places
numbered 1-38.
-Only visitors and handicap motorists are permitted to park on University
Avenue between Coulter and Ventress Halls from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
weekdays.
-There is no vehicular traffic - driving or parking - permitted on The
Circle between 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. weekdays.
Your decal should be placed on
the lower corner of the driver's side rear
window of your vehicle.
There are exceptions: convertibles,
vehicles with rear windows that lower into tailgate, vehicles
with rear windows covered by louvers, pickup trucks with a camper shell,
etc. - in these cases,
the decal should be affixed on the upper outside corner of the front
windshield on the passenger side.
