Campus Crime Report

The Campus Crime Report is released weekly to inform the University
community of incidents that may be a threat to public safety.

The University Police Department states the following incidents have
been reported between Thursday, January 19, and Saturday, January 31, 2009:


LARCENY/THEFTS:

Wednesday, January 28, 4:28 p.m., UPD received a report of an individuals' drivers license being
stolen from a key holder on Saturday, January 24, between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., inside the
Sigma Chi Fraternity House.

BURGLARY:

Tuesday, January 20, 7:32 p.m., UPD received a report of someone entering the Delta Kappa
Epsilon Fraternity House a desk and a cable modem were stolen.

 

MISCELLANEOUS:

Thursday, January 29, 4:15 a.m., a Campus Safety Officer observed the males loitering in the
Falkner Hall Parking Lot. Investigation revealed the individuals were not affiliated with the
University. Not being able to produce any type of identification the individuals were advised
to leave campus.

Wednesday, January 28, 5:27 p.m.,UPD received a report of a harassing note left on an
individuals' vehicle parked in the Chapel Parking Lot. It was later learned the note was a prank.

Tuesday, January 27, 08:07 a.m., a bulldozer was discovered vandalized off Coliseum Drive.

Tuesday, January 20, 1:35 p.m., UPD officers responded to a disturbance at Johnson Commons.
Investigation revealed two individuals had a verbal altercation.

One reported incident of harassment.


 

ARRESTS:

Sunday, January 25, 2:39 p.m., a male non-student was charged with public drunkenness on
Confederate Drive.

Sunday, January 25,1:57 a.m., a male student was charged with improper equipment and driving
while license suspended on Rebel Drive.

Thursday, January 22, 10:33 p.m., 2 male students were arrested on Fraternity Row; 1 for malicious
mischief and public drunkenness and 1 for public drunkenness and indecent exposure.

Thursday, January 22, 2:03 a.m., a female student was charged with reckless driving and leaving
the scene of an accident on Women's Terrace.

Tuesday, January 20, 1:39 a.m., a male student was charged with running stop sign and DUI 1st
offense on University Avenue.

Monday, January 19, 4:40 p.m., a male student was charged with speeding and driving while license
suspended on Hill Drive.
