The Campus Crime
Report is released weekly to inform the University
community of incidents that may be a threat to public safety.
The University Police
Department states the following incidents have
been reported between, Sunday, February 15, and Saturday, February 21, 2009:
LARCENY/THEFTS:
Friday, February
20, 4:14 p.m., a student reported someone had made unauthorized purchases
on a stolen Ole Miss Express Card.
Thursday, February
19, between 10:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., two textbooks and a calculator left
unattended on a desk in the J. D. Williams were stolen.
Wednesday, February
18, between 11:05 a.m. and 11:20 a.m., a bookbag left unattended was
stolen from the Union Plaza.
Tuesday, February
17, 2:43 p.m., a locked bicycle was reported stolen from a bike rack at
Stockard Hall.
BURGLARY:
Friday,
February 20, 10:57 p.m., a wallet was reported stolen from a resident's unlocked
room
in Kincannon Hall.
Wednesday, February 18,
1:30 p.m., two laptop computers were reported stolen from two unlocked
rooms in the Tri Delta Sorority House. It was also reported that two suspicious
males had entered the
house earlier during the day. The incident is under investigation.
MISCELLANEOUS:
Wednesday, February 18,
between 11:30 a.m. and 3:40 p.m., a parking decal was scraped off the rear
windshield of a vehicle parked in Kinard Hall Parking Lot.
Tuesday, February, 17, 4:40 p.m., UPD officers responded to a disturbance at the Physical Plant Department.
Monday, February 16,
6:48 p.m., a vehicle parked in the Stockard Hall Parking Lot was discovered
vandalized (side dented).
ARRESTS:
Wednesday, February 18,
9:58 p.m., a male student was charged with possession of drug
paraphernalia inside Stockard Hall.
Wednesday, February
18, 8:40 p.m., a male student was charged with public drunkenness inside
Tad Smith Coliseum.
Tuesday, February
17, 12:01 a.m., two male students were charged with possession of drug
paraphernalia in the Kincannon Hall Parking Lot
