The Campus Crime
Report is released weekly to inform the University
community of incidents that may be a threat to public safety.
The University Police
Department states the following incidents have
been reported between, Sunday, February 22, and Saturday, February 28, 2009:
LARCENY/THEFTS:
Friday, February
27, 4:34 p.m., two text books left unattended on a desk in the Natural Products
Science Library were reported stolen.
Friday, February
27, 9:12 a.m., a lap top computer was reported stolen from a classroom in
Barnard Observatory.
Wednesday, February
25, 10:01 p.m., an unattended playstation was reported stolen from the
C-Store in Stockard Hall.
Wednesday, February
25, 12:14 p.m., two textbooks left unattended on a desk in the J. D. Williams
Library were reported stolen.
Wednesday, February
25, between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., a bookbag left unattended on a desk in
the J. D. Williams Library was stolen.
Tuesday, February
24, 8:07 a.m., several items of clothing were reported stolen from the
Stockard-Martin Laundry Room.
Monday, February
23, between 12:50 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., an unattended back pack was stolen from
an entrance hallway inside the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity House.
Monday, February
23, between 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., an unattended book bag was stolen from
a table in the Union Food Court.
MISCELLANEOUS:
Friday, February 27,
11:22 a.m., a parking decal was discovered removed from a vehicle parked in
the Music Building Parking Lot.
Tuesday, February 24,
between 2:18 a.m. and 2:24 a.m., graffiti was written on a section of a wooden
fence at the Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity House.
Sunday, February 22,
7:45 p.m., several windows were discovered broken out at the Chi Psi
Fraternity House.
Sunday February 22, 4:34
p.m., UPD officers responded to a disturbance in the Village. Investigation
revealed several
individuals had verbal disagreement. One person was shoved. No one was injured;
charges have
been filed.
Sunday, February 22,
10:25 a.m., UPD officers responded to a disturbance in the Johnson Commons
Dinning Area. Investigation revealed two individuals had a verbal disagreement.
No one was injured
nor were any
charges filed.
ARRESTS:
Monday, February
23, 9:30 p.m., a male non-student was charged with speeding and driving while
license suspended on Hill Drive.
