Campus Crime Report

The Campus Crime Report is released weekly to inform the University
community of incidents that may be a threat to public safety.

The University Police Department states the following incidents have
been reported between, Sunday, March 15, and Tuesday, March 31, 2009:


LARCENY/THEFTS:


Tuesday, March 31, between 8:47 p.m., and 9:00 p.m., a laptop computer left unattended
on a desk in the J. D. Williams Library was stolen.

Tuesday, March 31, between 9:20 p.m. and 9:33 p.m., a bookbag left unattended on a desk
was stolen in the J. D. Williams Library.

Monday, March 30, between 5:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m., an unlocked bicycle was stolen from
Sorority Circle.

Monday, March 30, between 4:30 p.m., and 4:40 p.m., a bookbag left unattended on a desk
in the J. D. Williams Library was stolen.

AUTO BURGLARY:

Tuesday, March 31, between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., a parking hangtag was stolen from a vehicle
parked on Magnolia Drive.

MISCELLANEOUS:


Tuesday, March 31, 12:07 a.m., a vehicle parked in the Stockard Hall Parking Lot was
discovered vandalized (tire slashed).

Monday, March 30, 6:56 p.m., UPD officers responded to a disturbance in the Student Union.

Saturday, March 28, 5:25 p.m., a vehicle parked in the West Coliseum Parking Lot was
discovered vandalized. The responsible party has been identified and will make
restitution for the damage.

One reported incident of disturbing the peace.

One reported incident of receiving harassing telephone calls.

 

ARRESTS:
Sunday, March 29, 2:45 a.m., a male student was charged with simple assault domestic violence
inside the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity House.

Sunday, March 29, 2:03 a.m., a male student was charged with public drunkenness in the lobby
area of Martin Hall.

Saturday, March 28, 3:37 p.m., a female student was charged with seatbelt violation and DUI-refusal
on Coliseum Drive.

Saturday, march 28, 3:47 a.m., a male student was charged with public drunkenness, resisting arrest,
and possession of a fake ID at the Sigma Nu Fraternity House.
