Campus Crime Report

The Campus Crime Report is released weekly to inform the University
community of incidents that may be a threat to public safety.

The University Police Department states the following incidents have
been reported between Monday, April 7, and Sunday, April 13, 2008:


LARCENY/THEFTS:

Saturday, April 12, between 3:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., a cell phone was stolen from an
unlocked room in Kincannon Hall.

Wednesday, April 9, 10:00 a.m., a play station 3, controllers and 3 video games were
reported from the men's locker room in the Coliseum.

Monday, April 7, 5:00 p.m., several textbooks were reported stolen from Barnes and
Nobles. The responsible party has been identified and charged with petti larceny.

Monday, April 7, 4:00 p.m., a debit card was reported stolen from a wallet left unattended
in the Kincannon Hall Lobby.

Monday, April 7, between 8:50 a.m. and 10:05 a.m., a lap top computer left unattended in
Weir Hall was stolen.

 

MISCELLANEOUS:

Friday, April 11, 1:30 p.m., a vehicle parked in the Sorority Row Parking Lot was
discovered vandalized (keyed and windshield wipers broken).

Thursday, April 10, 12:42 p.m., a vehicle parked in the Stadium Parking Lot was
discovered vandalized (parking decal removed).

Wednesday, April 9, 4:02 p.m., a vehicle parked in the Guess Hall Parking Lot was discovered
vandalized(egged and an unidentified substance poured in the gas tank).

Wednesday, April 9, 2:56 p.m., a vehicle parked in the Kincannon Hall Parking Lot was
discovered vandalized (tires flattened
).

Tuesday, April 8, 10:45 a.m., a vehicle parked in the Guess Hall Parking Lot was discovered
vandalized (keyed).

Two reported incidents of receiving harassing phone calls.

Monday, April 7, 11:48 a.m., a student reported to UPD she had been struck in the face
earlier in day by an acquaintance; approximately 12:30 a.m., in Miller Hall.

Two reported incidents of receiving harassing phone calls.

 

ARRESTS:

Saturday, April 12, 2:24 a.m., a male student was charged with public drunkenness inside
Kincannon Hall.

Saturday, April 12, 1:21 a.m., a male student was charged with public drunkenness and
possession of marijuana inside Kincannon Hall.

Saturday, April 12, 1:18 a.m., a male student was charged with public drunkenness in the
Martin Hall Parking Lot.

Thursday, April 10, 10:01 p.m., a male non-student was charged with speeding, improper
equipment, no proof of insurance, and driving while license suspended on University Pl.

Wednesday, April 9, 11:12 a.m., UPD officers responded to the University Circle in reference
to a fight call. Investigation revealed several individuals had a physical altercation. Three students
were transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital, treated and released for minor injuries. One
student was charged with 3 counts of aggravated assault. Investigation continues.
