Campus Crime Report

The Campus Crime Report is released weekly to inform the University
community of incidents that may be a threat to public safety.

The University Police Department states the following incidents have
been reported between Monday, April 14, and Sunday, April 20, 2008:


LARCENY/THEFTS:

Monday, April 14, 7:18 p.m., an unlocked bicycle was reported stolen from the Sigma Alpha
Epsilon Fraternity House.

Wednesday, April 16, 5:20 p.m., a student reported someone had fraudulently made
unauthorized purchases on their Ole Miss Express Card which had been stolen earlier
in the day.

MISCELLANEOUS:

Sunday, April 20, 1:41 p.m., a vehicle parked on Poole Drive was discovered
vandalized (windshield broken out).

Saturday, April 18, 4:01 a.m., UPD officers responded to the Law School in reference
to an individual trespassing in the building. Officers responded to the Law School
immediately but the individual had left.


Friday, April 18, 1:15 a.m., UPD officers observed two individuals riding a Housing
Department's golf cart in the Kincannon Hall Parking Lot. The individuals fled from the
officers when directed to stop. Both of the individuals (male students) have been located.
One individual was charged with public drunkenness and one was charged with trespass
less than larceny and disorderly conduct.

Wednesday, April 16, 9:23 a.m., a vehicle parked near the Physical Plant was
discovered vandalized (unknown substance poured in gas tank).

Monday, April 14, 3:39 p.m., UPD officers responded to a disturbance in Stewart Hall.
Investigation revealed two acquaintances had a dispute. No charges filed.

 

ARRESTS:

Saturday, April 19, 5:43 p.m., a female student was charged with running stop sign and
DUI refusal on Rebel Drive.

Saturday, April 19, 1:56 p.m., a male student was charged with public drunkenness on
Confederate Drive.

Wednesday, April 16, 11:12 p.m., a male student was charged with possession of beer
under 21 years of age at Stockard Hall.

Wednesday, April 16, 7:31 p.m., a female student was charged with driving while license
suspended on Northgate Drive.

Tuesday, April 15, 3:29 a.m., a male student was charged with running stop sign, careless
driving and DUI refusal on All American Drive.
