Campus Crime Report

The Campus Crime Report is released weekly to inform the University
community of incidents that may be a threat to public safety.

The University Police Department states the following incidents have
been reported between Monday, May 19, and Sunday, June 1, 2008:


LARCENY/THEFTS:


Friday, May 30, 9:27 p.m., an unattended wallet was reported stolen from the
basketball courts in the Turner Center.

Tuesday, May 27, 10:07 a.m., a textbook was reported stolen from
the bookstore.

Wednesday, May 21, 2:33 p.m., a locked bicycle was reported stolen from a bike rack
at Kincannon Hall.

AUTO BURGLARY:

Monday, May 19, between 12:45 p.m. and 3:59 p.m., a locked vehicle parked in the
Bishop Hall Parking Lot was burglarized. A MS state issued handicap plaque was
stolen. A window was left practically down.

MISCELLANEOUS:

Sunday, June 1, 5:33 a.m., a section of wall was discovered vandalized inside the
Union Building.

Thursday, May 28, 8:19 a.m., a vehicle parked in the Bishop Hall Parking Lot was
reported vandalized (tire flattened).

Tuesday, May 20, 7:15 a.m., a vehicle parked on Rebel Drive was discovered
vandalized (window shattered).

ARRESTS:

Thursday, May 29, 9:09 p.m., a female non-student was charged with improper equipment
and driving while license suspended on Hathorn Road.

Sunday, May 25, 10:10 p.m., a male non-student was charged with speeding and
driving while license suspended on University Place.

Tuesday, May 20, 9:45 p.m., a male non-student was charged with speeding and DUI 1st
offense on University Place.

 

Saturday, May 25, 10:10 p.m., a female non-student was charged with speeding and
driving while license suspended on University Place.

Tuesday, May 20, 9:45 p.m., a male student was charged with speeding and DUI 2nd
offense on University Place.
