The University of Mississippi is
located in Oxford. Mississippi Highways 6, 7,
and 30 intersect in the city while Interstate 55
is only 23 miles away. Oxford is 75 miles from Memphis,
Tennessee, and 165 miles from Jackson, Mississippi (the
state capital). If you are ARRIVING ON HIGHWAY 7 FROM THE NORTH OR THE SOUTH, take the Highway 6 exit to the west, towards Batesville. Then take your first University of Mississippi exit, Old Taylor Road. There will be signs directing you north towards campus on Old Taylor Road. If you are ARRIVING FROM THE WEST ON HIGHWAY 6, take the second University of Mississippi exit, Old Taylor Road, and go left (to the north) on Old Taylor Road. If you are ARRIVING FROM THE EAST ON HIGHWAY 6, take the first University of Mississippi exit, Old Taylor Road, and go right (to the north) on Old Taylor Road. Old Taylor Road will soon end at University Avenue, where you go left (west), into the heart of campus. To get to the National Center for Natural Products Research, (the building NPURU is housed in), park on University Avenue and enter the second building on the left. The Administrative Suite is on the first floor of NCNPR. The City of Oxford has several maps with helpful information on hotels, restaurants, and other necessary places.
