MINUTES OF THE UNDERGRADUATE COUNCIL
Action by E-Mail Ballot Vote, July 28, 2005
1. Course Additions and Changes and Other Catalog Change for College of Liberal Arts. Upon a vote taken by e-mail ballot, the course additions and changes and the other catalog change for the College of Liberal Arts shown on Attachment #1 were unanimously approved.
2. Suspension of Admission to the Merchandising Emphasis in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences. Upon a vote taken by e-mail ballot, the Council approved the discontinuance and suspension of admission to the Merchandising emphasis area in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, now offered in the School of Applied Sciences, effective August 1, 2005. It was noted that an agreement has been reached by the School of Applied Sciences and the School of Business Administration to absorb the Merchandising emphasis area into the Marketing major. The rationale from the School of Applied Sciences for this recommended suspension is shown on Attachment #2.
