What We Do
The University Writing Center offers academic support to student writers at
all levels and from any discipline. Writing consultants are available to read
student assignments during the Center's 58-hour service week.
Consultants are experienced and well trained upper-level students primarily from
the McDonnell - Barksdale Honors College. To better serve student writers from
across the curriculum, consultants are selected from assorted majors, including
the sciences.
Writing Center consultants also present undergraduate writing workshops each
semester.
Writing consultations are available at no cost to students currently enrolled in
The University of Mississippi. Students may schedule consultations through our
online appointment calendar service.
Freshmen may also seek writing consultations in the Writing Center’s Stockard-Martin Satellite
