
Nancy Stumberg
After leaving Ole Miss, Nancy Stumberg was the recipient of a
Sterling Fellowship and obtained an LL.M. from Yale Law
School. She has been practicing real estate and banking law
in South Texas since January of 1978. She was an Assistant
Professor of Law at St. Mary’s University School of Law in San
Antonio, Texas, and a partner at the law firm of Matthews and
Branscomb. She is currently of counsel to the firm of Langley
and Banack in San Antonio.
She is certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in
the areas of commercial, residential, and farm and ranch real
estate law and is a member of the College of the State Bar.
She is honored to be listed in the “Best Lawyers in America”
(Banking).
She has served as a member of the Board of Directors of two
banking institutions during the past 22 years as well as on
the boards of carious civic and philanthropic institutions in
San Antonio, including Las Casas Foundation, Planned
Parenthood, and the San Antonio Economic Development Council.
She
is currently serving on the Executive Committee of the San
Antonio zoological society and as a Trustee of the St. Luke’s
Episcopal School. Her husband, Herb, and she are the parents
of three children: Sara who is a sophomore at Tulane;
Catherine, a sixth grade student; and Patrick, a fifth grade
