Megan Edwards

Megan Edwards, 18, of Water Valley says that being a recipient of the Women’s Council scholarship will help give her the chance to give back to the community.

“I want to help out as much as possible because I know through programs like this, this is the only way for some students to go to college,” said Edwards.  “I want to continue to help with community solving like I did in high school.”

Edwards said that while at Ole Miss she plans on majoring in biology and possibly attending medical school after graduation.

Mentorship is something that runs in Edwards family.  Edward’s cousin, Jessica West is also a member of the Women’s Council.

“This is such a wonderful opportunity for me to meet people, learn about the university and be able to travel with the women’s council,” said Edwards.
