Katy Anna Grisham, 18, of New Albany always wanted to go to Ole Miss and the Ole Miss Women’s Council only solidified her desire.

“It’s such a wonderful thing that they are doing – trying to instill leadership skills in the younger people,” the biology major said. “School prepares you for a career but this program will prepare you for anything.”

Grisham said after graduating, she wants to attend medical school and become an orthopedic surgeon. She said throughout her medical career, she still wants to apply the principles she learned from the OMWC.

“Now, I am learning about what kind of person I would like to become. When I’m older, I want people to admire me not for my accomplishments but for the person that I am,” she said. “I think so highly of these women I’ve met. If someone could ever think that highly of me, I think I would have reached my goal.”
