Kyle McCool
Kyle McCool, 18, of Cleveland wasn’t
attending Ole Miss this fall until the Women’s Council offered
him a golden opportunity he couldn’t refuse: a scholarship.
Along with the scholarship will come the familiar faces and
helpful hands of the Women’s Council.
He said that being a part of such a
unique commission was something he was not only looking
forward to but eagerly awaiting for his freshman year at Ole
Miss as an Honors Biochemistry student.
“As a sophomore in high school I took two
advanced science classes. I knew then that my life’s work
would involve the study of the human body,” said McCool.
“Also in high school I attended three Junior Science
Symposiums at Ole Miss. There, I was introduced what Ole Miss
had to offer me.”
McCool said that after earning an
undergraduate degree, he would like to attend medical school
and become either a radiology or orthopedic surgery
physician.
“The council even has me a summer
internship with Baptist Memorial Hospital. That’s definitely
a bonus,” said McCool. “The council is a neat deal. Getting
together once a week will be really beneficial to me as a
freshman, and already knowing a group of outstanding people.”
