Jared Tucker

Jared Tucker, 20, of Batesville, said after being told of the opportunities available to him in the Ole Miss Women’s Council, it was an offer he could not refuse.

“They’re helping me become who I am,” said the sophomore broadcast journalism major. “They are helping me with my leadership skills and giving me what I need to succeed in the future.”

Tucker said he would combine his avid interest in the weather with his major and pursue a career in meteorology. He said his involvement with OMWC would enhance his future in television.

“Leadership is something you take with you and carry it for the rest of your life,” Tucker said. “We are the only ones who get to decide what we are going to be and the Women’s Council is doing a great job preparing us for those decisions.”
