
Lynnette Schwartz Johnson
Lynnette Schwartz Johnson is assistant athletic
director/senior women's administrator for The University of
Mississippi. As assistant, she works with the athletic director
in overseeing the women's athletic programs, as well as other
internal operations and administration. A native of Pittsburgh,
Pa., she is a 1988 graduate of East Carolina University with
a bachelor's degree in physical education.
Johnson came to Ole Miss in 1989 and earned
a master's degree in education. She became a full-time staff
member at Ole Miss in 1990 as an assistant trainer, where
she worked with all sports but primarily women's basketball.
Johnson, who became the first female head athletic trainer
in the Southeastern Conference in 1997, is a certified member
of the National Athletic Trainers Association, a licensed
athletic trainer in the state of Mississippi and a member
of Mississippi Trainers Association and Southeast Athletic
Trainers Association. She serves as one of the M-Club advisers
and was a member of the planning committee for the "Celebration
of Women" at the University.
