For over 15 years, the
BGPSA has been committed to encouraging and supporting a system of academic
and professional networking for graduate students. This is truly an exciting
time to be a minority graduate student at the University of Mississippi. Over
the past year, The university was listed as one of the top 50 institutions granting
doctorates to African-American students (see Black Issues in Higher Education,
July 3, 2003). We are really excited about this accomplishment.
Lastly, I urge you to join our organization and experience the cohesiveness
and academic success of the African and African-American students at the University
