You may apply online (Apply Now Online) or by using a paper application (Application Forms).
The following materials must be on file in the Graduate School prior to the deadlines (specific admissions deadlines, which exist for some programs, or the common deadlines of April 1 for admission for Summer or Fall or October 1 for admission for Spring) in order to be assured consideration.

For the appropriate test score, click (standardized test scores). You make track the status of your application by going to the link (track application) and entering your tracking number.
Incomplete applications cannot be fully reviewed and will ultimately result in denial of admission. Last minute submissions are strongly discouraged. For those programs that have a rigid application deadlines, the online application system will not allow a late application. If a paper application is sent late, no refund will be provided and the application will be considered for the next admission season.
The application fee is waived for individuals who have previously been enrolled in the UM Graduate School.
A TOEFL exam score is required of individuals whose native language is not English.TOEFL Concordance Table
GRE, GMAT, and PRAXIS scores must be less than five years old; TOEFL scores must be less than two years old. These scores must be transmitted to UM directly by the Educational Testing Service.
Admissions offers for most programs apply for one full year, beginning with the initial semester of admission. After one year, another application form must be completed.
An application can be made for only one graduate program at a time. If you wish to be considered for two programs, you must submit two application forms. Some departments require students to enter and complete the masters program before entering the doctoral program; other departments allow direct entry into the doctoral track. You must check with the department to determine their practice.
