Mandatory Background Checks required for Staff and Faculty positions

The University’s background check policy has been revised, effective July 1, 2013. As a result, pre-employment background checks are mandatory for final candidates for both staff and faculty employment. Recent high-profile incidents, implementation of a new state law, and a need to apply the university policy consistently to both faculty and staff necessitate the implementation of a comprehensive background check policy as part of the hiring process. Complete policy.
