In 1960's The Ole Miss, then-student Robert Khayat was featured as
a member of the Student Hall of Fame. Dr. Khayat is the only Chancellor
to have received this honor. While his legacy as Chancellor is only
beginning, he is already making an indelible impact on the University
through his goals of enhancing the learning environment, increasing
recruiting efforts with Mississippi students, and taking actions needed to
become the first public institution of higher learning in Mississippi
chosen for a Phi Beta Kappa chapter, thus establishing a climate of
excellence for all endeavors at The University of Mississippi.
