United Way of Oxford, Lafayette County & You
Knowing where to turn is as simple as dialing 2-1-1. The LOU United Way is proud to support Mississippi’s 211 program. Trained staff help identify assistance with health and human services throughout the state.
Do you want to help your neighbors when they need it most? To help youths learn and become successful members of your community? Sure you do! How? By supporting your United Way! Last year, the United Way used your contributions to touch the lives of more than 25,000 people in the Lafayette-Oxford-University (LOU) region. We believe that everyone deserves opportunities to have a good life: a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement, and good health. That is why our LOU United Way works to:
Promote Financial Stability by helping support programs through:
Help Children Achieve their Potential by helping support programs through:

What can you do to help?
You can volunteer for one of the many United Way partner agencies and projects, you can advocate for lasting change in Lafayette County, and you can give in several different ways. Every tax-deductible donation, no matter how small, helps our community improve the lives of our residents.
Payroll deduction is a convenient way to make donations and spread your payments throughout the year. A small deduction from each pay period adds up to make a large impact. Consider a “Fair Share” donation — that is, one hour’s pay per month. If you can, consider joining the 100+ leadership donors from the university. Your payroll deduction card tells you how!
No donation is too small or too large! Your contribution is tax-deductible.
