Need to Choose a Major?

The College of Liberal Arts wants current and prospective students to make informed decisions about their academic careers. To this end, we have developed a web site called Choosing My Major. Students can access this web-based resource to find introductory information about each of the majors offered within the College.  For each major, information is presented to answer the following questions: 

• What does it mean to major in ____? 
• Why is the University of Mississippi a good place to major in ___?
• What can UM ___ majors do after graduation? 
• Whom should I contact to learn more about majoring in ___?
