Degree Audit Can Provide Advising Assistance for Liberal Arts Students
The Degree Audit application, which was launched in May 2008, is available to all University undergraduate students and provides a way for students to view their progress toward fulfillment of degree requirements. It can also be used if a student is contemplating changing majors or adding a minor by allowing the student to run a simulation in Degree Audit to see what requirements must be completed or how close the student may be to achieving the new major or minor. Although Degree Audit can be a useful tool for students, it does not replace the graduation application process nor the advising process. Students will still need to contact the Dean's Office for detailed instructions concerning the degree application process.
To use Degree Audit as a student, log in to myOleMiss and choose the Student role and the Degree Audit menu. The Degree Audit application uses major and minor information stored in SAP Campus Management to determine whether degree requirements have been met. To declare a major or minor or to make changes to existing major and minor information, visit the Office of the Dean. The University Catalog remains the official reference for determining graduation requirements. Please note that not all older catalogs have been entered in the computer system for use by Degree Audit. For technical assistance with Degree Audit, please send an e-mail message to degreeaudit@olemiss.edu. |
