A Message from Dean Glenn Hopkins

Ventress Hall Under Construction
Ventress Hall Restoration

Greetings from the College of Liberal Arts. Perhaps you know that Ventress Hall sustained significant damage last November when water pipes burst in the attic. Since then the Office of the Dean has been temporarily located in the 3rd floor of Lester Hall. I am pleased to tell you that the restoration of Ventress Hall has begun and that we hope to move back to our home in the upcoming spring semester.

The fall semester is underway, and this edition of the Liberal Arts Student E-Newsletter contains important dates and deadlines for you as a Liberal Arts student. It also contains academic information regarding a new minor in education being offered to students in the College and an optional minor available to students in Bachelor of Science programs.

Profiles of outstanding faculty in the College who have received distinguished teaching and advising awards are featured in the student newsletter, and you can find more information about students, faculty, alumni, and friends of the College in our sister newsletter, The View from Ventress.

I invite you to stay up to date with College happenings along with periodic videos of the Ventress Hall restoration through our social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Tumblr.
