The W. Alton Bryant Scholarship
Description
This scholarship fund was established in 1995 by the Bryant family as a memorial to Dr. Bryant, chairman of the Department of English, 1947-1953, and subsequently Vice Chancellor. The recipient will be in the junior year and shall have acquired a GPA of at least 3.0 overall and a 3.5 in English. The award will be for a period of two years, and the student must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0, a GPA of 3.5 in courses taken for credit in English, and remain an English major.
