David Edgar
David Edgar Guyton
David Edgar Guyton was
born February 21, 1880, in Blue Mountain, Mississippi. He received
his A.B. from Blue Mountain College in 1903, his B.S. from the University
of Mississippi in 1911, and A.M. from Columbia in 1914, and an honorary
LL.D. from Blue Mountain in 1960. A long-time teacher at Blue Mountain
College, he authored a biography of Mother Berry, a
long-time college mother at Blue Mountain. He also was an early
mentor to Muna Lee.
He died on April 16, 1964.
