James R. Kelly
James R. Kelly resides
near Richton, Mississippi. In 1966 he served one tour of duty in
Vietnam with the U.S. Marines. Kelly received his B.S. degree from
the University of Southern Mississippi.
He joined the ranks of the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics in 1971
becoming one of the organization's first agents. Kelly retired from
MBN in 1995 after twenty-five years of service to the state of Mississippi.
He is presently an investigator for a law firm in Hattiesburg. Kelly's
first book, Prescription for Murder, was published by 1st
books Library, Bloomington, Indiana. Casting Alpha, a personal
reflection of Kelly's experiences and observations while in Vietnam,
should be out by Christmas 2001.
