A Map of
Mississippis Literary Landmarks
The map above indicates a number
of locations important to the literary history of Mississippi. For more
information on specific locations, you may access more detailed commentaries
corresponding to six principal regions of Mississippi: the Mississippi-Yazoo
River Delta, the
hills and ridges
of the state's northeastern corner, the Heartland,
the area near the state's principal river
cities of Vicksburg and Natchez, the Piney
Woods, and the Gulf
Coast. For a map showing the approximate size and location of each
region, check out the main Literary
Landmarks page.
