Three injured by fallen bricks

Three construction workers were injured Thursday when a strong winds blew a newly laid brick wall onto them.

Thursday's storms caused much damage around town including damage to many trees. This tree was one of two that fell in the Circle. Another was down in front of the Education building on University Avenue.

Thunderstorms struck Oxford and Lafayette County Thursday afternoon leaving downed trees and many residents temporarily without power.

Former Ole Miss student Houston Tohill was pronounced dead at Baptist Memorial Hospital Thursday morning, said hospital spokeswoman Peyton Warrington.
