Oxford Police responded to an emergency call made Monday at 11:13 p.m about a crash on Highway 6, 500 ft. west of the S. Lamar interchange.

Assistant Police Chief Mike Martin said an Oldsmobile Alero traveling east on Hwy. 6 swirved to miss a deer, hitting a concrete drain basin in the median. The car then flipped and landed on the west bound lanes of the highway.

The driver, a 22-year-old woman from Sardis whose name was not released, was transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
